Wellness Hanmer was created to fill a market need for holistic, non chemical or surgical relief to chronic pain issues or illness that modern medicine has no answer for.
Our bodies are very complex, and man does not have the knowledge yet to build a flesh and blood functioning human from scratch, so how can he possibly understand the cellular and energetic workings enough to apply chemicals to make a positive change ?

My goal is to help people understand nature is our pharmacy, food is our medicine, wellness comes from within our bodies and the environment and lifestyle we keep ourselves in. Fast food, fast life, chemicals in everything we touch and breathe, we must be aware, self educated and make decisions for our own health and that of our families.
I would like to help people to find a balance in life, a healthy and sustainable diet, and empower them to search for answers to their problems in the right places.

Helping horses, Helping humans.

Firstly, I am not a Doctor. For the last 20 years I have been treating horses with holistic therapies such as Cranio Sacral (I completed Equine and Human studies in this modality), Acupuncture with needles, laser and micro-current therapy, massage modalities including sports and trigger point techniques, acupressure, and Equine Touch which is a vibrational myofascial release technique.

During my research to treat specific injuries, I was recommended to look into a very rare, expensive but very efficient device called the Electro-Acuscope. After the required training, only available in the USA, I was able to bring the first Electro-Acuscope to New Zealand.
​
As part of my training to purchase these units I was required to train on treating both horses and humans. A week long intensive course for each, and during which I met some amazing therapists and professionals who told some incredible stories of their successes.
These people were chiropractors, acupuncturists, and sports medical experts. It was very enlightening.

I have used the units on horses predominately over the last 12 years, but a growing number of human, canine and feline patients have found their way to my door and the success stories and pain resolution many are reporting has made me interested in trying to help more people.
